I love making games in teams!
The type of games I usually make are absurdist and random. I think this is because I'm new and would rather submit my projects than them be emptied into the void.
These are general philosophy / loop of steps I take when making games.
1. Explain your interpretation of the theme 2. Brainstorm ways of solving your interpretation 3. Execute a solution according to your interpretation |
I think these are very helpful for dealing with ambiguous themes or questions.
Problem is a general word for a game, I believe the steps can be applied to many different situations. Extra advice is to not let the theme be totally trivial or all encompassing, however this should be ignored if it gets in the way of having fun.
Any solution is better than no solution unless it hurts others.
All in all, have fun making games and learning things you like, we have the chance to invest in personal development and making memories. So put yourself out there!
